We believe underlay is more than just something hidden beneath the floor. It plays an important role in how a space feels, performs, and lasts over time. Whether the project is a condo, single-family home, renovation, or commercial install, the right foundation helps support better results from the floor up.

Our goal is to make it easier for homeowners, contractors, builders, and flooring professionals to find practical underlay products backed by straightforward information and reliable service.

By accessing this Site or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of Our Website

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on the rights of others, restrict their use of the Site, or interfere with the operation or security of the Site.

You must not:

  • use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose

  • interfere with the Siteโ€™s functionality, security, or performance
  • copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit Site content without permission
  • submit false, misleading, or incomplete information when placing an order or contacting us

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site where misuse is suspected.

2. Product Information and Website Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that all product information on the Site, including descriptions, specifications, compatibility notes, availability, pricing, dimensions, images, and other content, is presented as accurately as possible.

However, we do not guarantee that all content on the Site is always complete, current, or error-free. Product colours, textures, finishes, and appearance may vary depending on screen settings, photography, manufacturing variation, or batch differences.

We reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without prior notice, including after an order has been submitted.

3. Product Suitability

It is the customerโ€™s responsibility to confirm that a product is suitable for the intended use, flooring type, project conditions, and installation method before purchase and installation.

This includes, where applicable:

  • confirming compatibility with laminate, engineered hardwood, solid wood, vinyl, or other flooring types
  • checking subfloor and moisture conditions
  • reviewing building, strata, condo, or project requirements
  • confirming sound control requirements where relevant
  • verifying installation requirements with your flooring manufacturer, contractor, or installer

Floor Acoustic is not responsible for issues resulting from improper product selection, incorrect installation, failure to follow manufacturer guidance, or use outside the intended application.

4. Pricing

All prices displayed on the Site are listed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.

Prices, specifications, product availability, promotions, and shipping charges may change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, including after an order is placed.

If a pricing error or product listing mistake affects your order, we may contact you with the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

5. Orders

Submitting an order does not automatically mean that the order has been accepted. All orders are subject to review and acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • product unavailability
  • pricing or listing errors
  • billing or payment issues
  • suspected fraud or unauthorized transactions
  • unusually large quantities inconsistent with normal purchasing patterns
  • incomplete or inaccurate shipping information

If your order is cancelled after payment has been processed, any applicable refund will be issued back to the original payment method.

6. Payment

Payments must be completed using the payment methods made available through the Site at checkout.

By submitting payment information, you confirm that:

  • you are authorized to use the payment method provided
  • the payment details entered are current and accurate
  • you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the full applicable amount, including product price, taxes, and shipping charges where applicable

We do not store full credit card details on our own servers. Payment processing is handled by third-party payment providers.

7. Shipping and Delivery

We regularly ship across British Columbia and Alberta and can accommodate Canada-wide shipping depending on the order size, product type, destination, and delivery requirements.

Shipping may be arranged through carriers such as Stallion, Intelcom, Canada Post, and other delivery partners depending on the shipment.

Shipping timelines shown on the Site, in email communication, or otherwise provided by us are estimates only. Actual delivery times may vary due to:

  • order volume
  • stock availability
  • remote or extended destinations
  • carrier delays
  • weather conditions
  • holidays
  • access limitations at the delivery address
  • other factors outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that shipping information is accurate and complete. Additional charges may apply if an order must be re-routed, re-delivered, held, or returned due to incorrect address details or delivery access issues.

8. Bulk Orders and Project Deliveries

For larger quantity orders, commercial orders, contractor orders, or jobsite deliveries, additional shipping coordination may be required.

Bulk or project-based orders may involve:

  • separate freight or shipping quotes
  • special delivery arrangements
  • scheduled delivery windows where available
  • palletized or oversized shipments
  • additional lead time depending on product and destination

Quoted shipping costs for bulk or project orders may differ from standard checkout rates. In such cases, we may contact you to confirm final shipping arrangements before completing the order.

9. Pickup and Delivery Conditions

Where pickup or special delivery arrangements are offered, availability will depend on product readiness, location, and scheduling.

It is the customerโ€™s responsibility to ensure that the delivery location can safely receive the shipment and that any site-specific delivery requirements are communicated in advance.

This may include:

  • business hours or receiving hours
  • loading dock access
  • site contact information
  • forklift or unloading requirements for large shipments
  • multi-unit residential restrictions
  • strata or building access limitations

We are not liable for delays, failed deliveries, or extra charges resulting from uncommunicated site restrictions.

10. Inspection of Goods

Customers should inspect products promptly upon delivery or pickup.

If an item arrives visibly damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, please contact us as soon as possible and, where possible, keep the packaging and provide photos to help us review the issue.

Claims related to damage, shortages, or delivery issues should be made within a reasonable time after receipt so that the issue can be properly investigated.

11. Returns and Refunds

Returns, exchanges, and refunds are subject to our Return and Refund Policy.

Not all products may be eligible for return. Eligibility may depend on product condition, packaging, whether the product has been opened or used, whether it is a special order, and the time since delivery or pickup.

Customers should review the Return and Refund Policy before placing an order.

12. Installation Responsibility
